Speaking of which, luxury is set to be a part of the lifestyle era as the consumers are prioritizing experience and placing greater value on the spaces where they live, work and socialize. Luxury homes are set to be a priority as an investment in 2023.

Whispering luxury is highly valued in luxury homes. Cannot forget the trend that has been going on for a while now. Quiet Luxury speaking in itself without logo showing. Yes, it may be a belief of value, but, by the way which wasn’t seen in Met Gala 2023.

MET Gala- A door opened!

MET Gala happens every year on 1st Monday of May hosted by Vogue. It is an annual fundraising gala held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. Personalities who are perceived to be culturally relevant to contemporary society amongst various professional spheres, including fashion, film, television, music, theater, business, sports, social media, and politics, are invited to attend the MET Gala.

It was not at all quiet but was about glam and bling and happy luxury. This year every little detail of Chanel was present, as the theme was Karl Lagerfeld- A line of Beauty. The statement pieces worn by the Creme de la creme crowd are still in the limelight. A special mention to designing this year's carpet which was beige in color with a dash of red and blue made by artisans in Kerala, India. A proud moment for India indeed. Let’s lay our first foot on the carpet wearing nice footwear.

A sneaky trend in luxury footwear!

One of a kind footwear seemed to be popular at MET Gala. An accessory which makes the person more confident, which we must say is quite popular this year with ‘Smartening’ shoes. Comfort and casual styles with the addition of more embellishments, such as crystals and rhinestones, not leaving functionality behind is seen in the purchases.

Stepping in the spotlight!

Now if we come to think of it, what accessory can you pair with shoes. Ahh don’t ask us! We are biased towards sunglasses. Who other than Tom Ford makes you want to buy one? Oh wait! Did you hear that Peter Hawkings is appointed as a new Creative Director of Tom Ford.

He sure is going to kill it this year as being worked under Gucci first and then been Tom Ford’s right hand for more than 20 years. He is one of the most renowned and value understanding Menswear designers in luxury.

The fifth avenue revamp!

Oh while reading this, did you just imagine yourself in Tom Ford glasses and Jimmy Choo shoes? It's like one mind but, what if we add a jewelry piece to elevate the look. Jewelry=Tiffany. It fits and how. Speaking of which, Tiffany just had a grand opening of its biggest flagship store on Fifth avenue in New York city. Luxury like never seen before. All the global artists gathered to celebrate the brand.

A Royal event!(NMACC)

India's luxury market is forecasted to expand to 3.5 times today's size by 2030, making it a country to watch for luxury brands. They have been making a mark on the global stage and how. One of the most talked about India specially is, its culture. The curation of this beautiful culture has been represented through one of the most prestigious events in Mumbai, India. The grand weekend opening for Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC).

 It debut was with a slew of red carpet events featuring a who's who of A-list celebrities, from panel discussions to musical performances, to celebrate the opening of the center's many visual arts, costume, and theater-focused spaces.

Attended by Bollywood royalty and Hollywood stars, from Rekha to Zendaya, Priyanka Chopra to Gigi Hadid, Sonam Kapoor to Emma Chamberlain, Kriti Sanon to Penelope Cruz, wherein global stars celebrated the mastery of Indian savoir-faire (To know-To do) wearing densely embellished and glittering creations by the country’s leading designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Anamika Khanna, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Rahul Mishra.

India’s To know-To Do! The DIOR show!

In the days leading up to the NMACC debut, Mumbai played host to Dior’s Pre-Fall 2023 show, which was a tribute to Indo-France collaboration. The iconic Gateway of India made an impressive backdrop for Dior Fall 2023 collection.

This show featured creations from the Chanakya ateliers & school of craft based in Mumbai reflecting how India’s traditional crafts inspire world-class fashion.

The show included the breathtaking backdrops of the city’s historical structure and overlooking the skyline while A-listers and key leading industry experts dived into the world of Dior’s new ready-to-wear and accessories launch creating a history in itself.

Alia Bhatt’s happy debut at MET 2023!

The much anticipated 1st Monday of every year. The MET Gala 2023! Following the ambit of Bollywood megawatt stars Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, this year Alia Bhatt made her way to the MET Gala steps.

Alia got the memo and perfectly delivered to the theme of Karl Lagerfeld: A line of beauty as she stunningly walked the carpet in the most pretty couture by Prabal Gurung. With every inch of its bodice drenched in pearls, she wore a white princess gown which had a long train.

The relationship that Chanel and Karl shared was strongly portrayed across at MET with every outfit won by A-listers. Alia was inspired by the final bridal look from Chanel's Autumn-Winter 1992 Couture collection. She stood out with a message saying “Fashion does not always have to be serious.”

The elements that she played with could not go wrong. It can be happy, playful and sweet at the same time, something that makes you feel internally beautiful as well.

This debut made her secure a position as a favorite in the fashion circle. Not just in India, but globally.

Ranveer Singh in Remix!

Let’s get quirky here! We say India and global! Mix this and its glocal. Ohh but I still am a beginner at remixes. Catch the hand of Ranveer Singh in this and then we can talk. He is anything but conventional. Combining high street and luxury in its authenticity is what Ranveer is known for.

This is a very popular opinion after he attended the grand opening of the Tiffany&Co store on the fifth avenue in New York city. Representing India at the grand event and carrying men’s accessories from the brand like no one, Ranveer broke the ideation that Tiffany&Co is only for the women and promoted men’s accessories like a pro.

This invitation might be a partnership but I am sure we cannot wait for more Ranveer x Tiffany looks!

Ahhh grand events seem exhausting right?

The most talked about comfort looks in India are the airport looks. Wherein the star can be seen wearing Indian designers ready-to-wear paired with global luxury handbags. A pair of mixed and matched luxury accessories and clothing. Fendi and Dior saddle paired with Gucci shorts seem to be the most popular in the last month considering the heat in Mumbai.

Oh! Alia Bhatt carrying a pink Chanel classic on a casual outing, captured everyone’s eye. The media was all over with Chanel searches. If Alia carrying a Chanel took over the internet, Ranbir Kapoor was not behind and beat his airport looks with one of a kind and an uber luxury brand Goyard. His every accessory for his airport look is of Goyard which he pulls off amazing and stands out in itself. Shall we say Ranbir is an Indian ambassador for Goyard?!

Indian stores worldwide?

Leaving an Indian mark across all fashion capitals in the world seems to be Reliance Brands Limited(RBL)’s priority at the moment. It's been in the limelight regarding talks of partnership with the leading Indian designers including Anamika Khanna’s AK-OK, Ritu Kumar and Manish Malhotra.

RBL has also entered a joint venture with Rahul Mishra, who is synonymous with couture to launch a new ready-to-wear brand. This will be a collaborative journey to create and own a new brand that would encompass Rahul Mishra’s ready to wear business through a 60:40 Joint Venture with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL). The intention behind this is to have a worldwide footprint with dedicated flagship stores at fashion capitals around the world in the next 5 years. Super cool, isn’t it?

IV. Prachi Pens…

An individual or a consumer has become more confident about who they are and use luxury to express themselves. Referring to characteristics and behavior that comprise a person’s unique adjustment to life, including major traits, interests, drives, values, self-concept, abilities, and emotional patterns, that is how a person chooses luxury.

Alia Bhatt chose to wear the white Pearl gown as she sees herself in it. Her traits of being a happy girl, adjustment to the offline image of hers. A belief that she can pull it off. These factors combined give you the confidence to carry luxury.

Before Ranbir Kapoor buys a Goyard, he will try to associate his personality to Goyard’s personality and see whether they connect somehow. You feel a certain connection towards the brand which makes you take the decision of investing in it.

“Brown is not my color”, when a person says this she might never go for a Louis Vuitton or a Fendi but might opt for a quirky color palette like Goyard or Moynat. Herein she associated her value and a choice to Goyard which made it worth her investment as she can carry it with confidence.

Consumers want more to wear, they care about it and value what they buy.

Luxury is beyond name, logo, colors. It too has a persona and communicates to us via different channels. It is always an investment which will add value to your wardrobe.
